Named after the famous hunter, author and conservationist Jim
Corbett, the Corbett national park is one of the finest habitats of the
tiger in India. Nestled in The foothills of the Himalayas in Uttranchal the
park extends over a tract of 520 sq. km. It is a large valley with forested
ridges running through it. The Ramganga river winds through its entire
length and dense sal and deciduous forests cover the park area. Visitors are
allowed in from mid-November to mid-june.

there By Rail :Nearest railhead is Ramnagar, 51 km.
By
Road : The route from
Delhi traverses Hapur-Moradabad-Ramnagar
(turn left at the 7 km bifurcation after Moradabad ). The route from
Lacknow
goes via Bareilly-kichha-Rudrapur-Dorah-Kashipur-Ramnagar. from Dhikala- the
main tourist area Delhi is 294 km. , Lacknow 345 km. ,Ramnagar 51km.
Bijrani, the closer access to the park, is 9 km. away from Ramnagar. Regular
state transport buses ply directly from Delhi, Haldwani, Moradabad
and Nainital to Ramnagar . A local bus service is available at Ramnagar to
the park.
Jeeps, Taxi and Vans can also be easily hired at Ramnagar
